This week we are happy to announce that The Cider Press Restaurant is launching it’s Christmas 2021 menu.
After an extremely busy summer our chefs have taken time to perfect this years holiday menu, our festive offering will be available from the 1st of December, and we cant wait for you to enjoy it.
Our new online booking system takes the hassle out of your Christmas party by giving you the option of pre-ordering your meal or selecting from one of our new package deals. From the restaurant section of the website you’ll not only be able to look over the new festive menu but also launch enquires to organise your perfect Christmas celebration.

Our Cidermakers have been hard at work over the last 12 months perfecting this years single variety offerings. We’re pleased to announce that this year we have 3 Golden Years on offer.
Improved Dove 5.2%
Sweet/Medium – “Golden straw in colour, with a delicate sparkle. A fresh burst of clean apple fills the mouth, with mellow bittersweet notes flowing throughout. Ending on a crisp finish. a very drinkable medium sweet cider”.
Tremlett’s Bitter 5.6%
Medium – “Amber in colour with a delicate sparkle. A bold mouthful of stewed apple fills the mouth with this powerful, full flavour, cider with sweet tartness to finish”.
Medium/Dry – “Golden in colour with a delicate sparkle. A mellow sweetness fills the mouth, with mild tannins. Overall, a well-balanced medium dry, that displays light tartness to finish

Our restaurant is open from 15th of February, following it’s refurbishment.
We are currently putting the finishing touches to our extension, but will be serving food in the existing restaurant every day from 8:30am to 5pm.

It is a very big month for us here at the farm, Rich’s Cider family member James Rich is launching his debut cook book, appropriately called: Apple: recipes from the orchard.
Apple is full of almost 100 recipes featuring all things apple, from Rich’s cider and apple juice, to cider vinegar and Somerset Cider Brandy too. Inspiration for the book came to James when he worked at our Cider Press restaurant when he was a teenager. Apple combines some old favourite recipes with a host of brand-new ideas.
And the book has even been given the seal of approval by chef Jamie Oliver, who said it was “a beautiful collection of recipes from a real expert – James really knows his stuff.”
Apple is a celebration of the fruit in all its forms. You’ll find Light Bites, whether that’s a nutritious breakfast of Nutty Apple Granola, or tangy Goat’s Cheese, Apple and Honey Tarts for an easy picnic lunch; Feasts soaked in cider, from a wholesome Chicken, Cider and Cheddar Crumble for supper to Braised Pork Knuckles In Cider cooked slow and steady for an added depth and enhanced flavour; Sides and Sauces where sharp and tangy flavours transform flavour combinations; Sweet Things to treat yourself with, whether it’s an Autumn Fruit Pavlova with Apple and Vanilla Cream or a refreshing Cider Sorbet on a hot day. Drinks are also not forgotten, from the summery Orchard Cocktail to the warming Cider Brandy Hot Toddy and Mulled Apple Juice with Rhubarb and Ginger.
