Rich’s Cider Wins Gold at the Taste of the West Awards 2025
Here at Rich’s Cider we are celebrating after scooping three prestigious Gold Awards at the Taste of the West Awards 2025 – for Vintage Cider, Golden Harvest Medium, and Apple Juice.
The Taste of the West Awards are the largest regional food and drink awards programme in the UK, championing excellence across the South West. Each year, products are blind-tasted and judged by industry experts, with a Gold Award recognising outstanding quality, flavour, and authenticity.
For a family-run cider maker at the heart of Somerset’s cider-making tradition, this recognition is particularly special. It not only highlights the skill and dedication of the team but also reinforces Somerset’s proud reputation as the home of world-class cider and apple produce.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have received three Gold Awards this year. To be recognised by Taste of the West is a huge honour and a testament to the hard work, craftsmanship and passion that goes into every drop of our cider and apple juice. As a Somerset business, it means the world to us to showcase the very best of what our county can offer.”
This triple Gold win underlines our commitment to producing authentic, high-quality cider and apple juice, while keeping traditional Somerset cider-making alive for future generations.

Join us for our annual Charity Wassail, where we’ll be singing, dancing & drinking plenty of our award-winning cider. 🍺🍎
A Wassail is a traditional Somerset ceremony carried out to bless an orchard. It’s an ancient practise we keep alive here at the Farm, complete with rituals involving tree roots, shotguns, and, of course, cider, to ward off bad spirits and ensure a good harvest for the year to come.
There’ll be delicious hot food on sale all evening from The Cider Press Restaurant, and two fully stocked bars. The Skimmity Hitchers will be performing for us, playing their classic Scrumpy and Western music with a 21st Century twist.
As we celebrate all things cider on this winter’s night, we’ll be raising money for Love Musgrove.
